it is "chinese" name of that area.
the official name of that area should be "Kowloon"
but in chinese word, there is in 2 chinese characters, which is "Nine" "Dragon".
so, some pilot would make a joke and call it "9 dragon".
it doesnt made any relate of dragon, its just a chinese name and translate in eng DIRECTLY and SEPERATELY.
my eng is bad, but i have tried my best. sorry about that.

Beta Testers (who are an awesome team!), are spending hours and hours landing onto the curved IGS Checkerboard approach and seem to be having fun with it. Trying to "break" our poor little project. But better now than after release!
Overall I am hearing fairly good FPS... better than expected in most cases where one can fly in VC mode, have some AI, have some weather and still get a smooth approach and landing. Not an easy thing to do I have learned in modeling since we have designed over 5,500 autogen buildings, 100's of custom and Gmax buildings, and inserted 100's of objects. Think of it as trying to land a 747 into New York City's Central Park with all of Manhattan all around you and not have it turn into a slide show.
Issues... oh yea we got some. Things that could stand an improvement? You betcha! But we could go on and model for another six months and still get the "this isn't right" or "you left this out", or "this looks lousy". Let's face it, if you look too closely at any one area I am sure you can pick it apart but overall we are happy with the results which should give you a "rush" and a challenge to see if you can land by the numbers. (I personally think we have designed the best looking IGS approach system for Kai Tak to date).
And speaking of dates????? Well, I can see by my last post I put "Coming this Summer!" Ha! Boy was I wrong. So let's just say we are putting every waking moment intothis now to put this project on 'final approach'.
I've attached a screenie to show you an overall view of Kai Tak airport. Oh what's this?... looks like typical Hong Kong weather has socked in the airport so you can't see it. Too bad.... Guess you will have to wait for the release.
