Since this is all about technical discussions here, why don't we see who has the fastest rig for FSX in here?  I know I don't but I'd like to see who does

(If this shouldnt be here, move it to the appropriate place...just figured it should go here since it pertains to the hardware for FSX)

I may soon have the best, once I upgrade my old E6600 to a Q6600 or Penry, and add a GPU waterblock for my 8800GTX, and get rid my this EVGA 680i cooking stove  and replace it with a X38 or P35 later this year.

Mango has a E6600 clocked at 3.6 with an 8800 GTX I believe.

I think it is Mango- especially in his 'Around the World FSX' thread a while back- probably before SP1 came out he was pulling SICK frames from FSX with such a nice rig

That doesn't make his rig more powerful. I'd like to see some SuperPI times from the two of them.

I'd like to point out that SuperPi doesn't exactly mean much either.

In terms of overall system performance, Windowseat probably has the fastest computer (out of main active members), but given that FSX doesn't make particularly great use of a Quad, Mango's and Windowseat's FSX performance would be quite similar. Infact, Mango could well have the edge here simply down to his tweaked sim.

13.556s but then i got bsod at 3.88ghz

don't really like this 4 x 1gb sticks, and going to get 2x2gb i think.

don't really like crucial memory either...

So how does Quad Channel work for you?  I was thinking of upgrading my 2GB Dual Channel to an OCZ 4GB Quad Channel with 4-5-4-18 timings, both are DDR2 800.  Why do you not like 4x1GB
