That happends to me quite often as well! Coming in perfectly aligned, and then.. err... whats up with the thrust??
But often I am too lazy to do a go arround..

I have just landed in Yssy( Sydney) Intl Airport coming from fiji island in a 737-200, got of course due to electrical outtage,ended up in new zealand and got my electrical back on to sydney and ran out of fuel just on my approach but landed safely 
So yeah in Sydney atm, with my POSKY 737-200.
