FS Version: FSX
Location: Denver, Colorado

Departure: KDEN
Arrival: KASE

Route: ROCKIES 5 DBL
Link to Flight Plan: None

Flight Time: Any
Meteorological Conditions: IMC

Description: Enjoy this scenic jump from Denver to Aspen.  The approach depending on which you choose will prove fun with either a stepped approach or a fresh new LOC which is not in the FSX ATC options.  The new LOC freq will work however.

Sounds nice, I might fly that when I have some time.

Also, it should be noted and I have no idea why it is BUT Aspen Tower has you come in for a circling approach on rwy 33.  I don't think there is even a landing option for rwy 33.  Everything comes in to rwy 15.   For what it's worth, the new LOC approach is great.  Much more simple than the GPS-C or VOR.

I flew into KASE a few years ago (FS2004). I loved the approach. You gotta do the Roaring Fork Visual, it is beautiful!

Indeed it's a scenic approach - what make it's even more fun if IFR conditions that test your minimums.
The new approach (LOC) makes it's a lot more simple versus the step down approach (which I find half the fun).

I'll have to do this one sometime in the King Air!  Which scenery are you using for Aspen, Bman?

GEX is in that screen shot.  It's a fun flight for sure.
I am going to do it again in the Cheyenne now that I have that puppy figured out.
