We are in the final phase of YMML development, and we are almost finished with the ground night lighting for the airport. This should be finished later this week. Once the ground night lighting is done we have to do the night lighting textures on the buildings, final performance tuning, placement of smaller objects and then we are ready to release, so it's very close now
Here's some very early dusk approach shots:

Yes FSX only. Orbx does not develop for FS2004. Thanks for your comments guys!
A few more shots from last night's testing...

Some more night shots and a video cap from my dev laptop ...
Here is an indication of my performance on my Dell M1730/C2D-2.8Ghz/4GB/WinXP/8800GTX-512 dev laptop with YMML Beta 1007 - short video capture:
http://fsfiles.org/f...ymml_night1.zip (45MB, worth every byte )
This is a no-gimmick, no tweaks direct FRAPS capture with resolution set to 1280x720. Straight to AVI, no sync and FRAPS set to 25FPS. I then converted the AVI directly to WMV using Windows Media Encoder. In a nutshell, what you see is directly from my laptop to you.
Please note this video is still showing warts - incomplete textures and unfinished/test night lighting and the airside aprons aren't done quite yet. I also had roads traffic cranked up for testing and that would have killed 2-3FPS at the level I was running it.
However, I was getting about 34FPS here even with FRAPS running.
We're still doing more performance tuning, so it should get better.
