Windows Vista has a hidden boot screen that you can activate, and it's totally different. Instead of the boring progress bar, you'll see a soft aurora against a black background.

Click Start, type msconfig in the Search field, and press <Enter>. After you click through the UAV prompt, a system config window will open. Select the  "Boot" tab.

In the Boot tab, check the box marked No GUI boot. Click "Apply" and then "OK". Windows will prompt you to restart the PC, so click "Restart".

The next time your computer reboots, you will see this nice aurora screen. If you want to disable it, follow all of the above steps, just uncheck the "No GUI boot", and restart.

Hope you guys like this!!

I don't know, I'm trying it out now :hrmm:

But it seems pretty cool compared to the boring bar.

Don't actually post anything like this again (even with a notice) as there are young readers who could irreversibly screw up their computer before realizing it is a lame joke.

Looks like the boring old aurora with a blurry black border. :hrmm:

But I have to admit, it beats the silly scrolling bar. :hrmm:

I found it dam(n) funny actually...what kind of person doesn't notice the highlighting and removing of the text...then proceeds to save it?
