Hi,

I have started using FSET as i couldn't get Maps2BGL. I have created a ground texture, but can only do so in a square or rectangle shape (as shown below)

Is there a way to create a polygon like shape that would make the ground texture's to a shape that I want?

Thanks

Read the manual (UserDocu.rtf) supplied with the program, it describes in detail how to create blending polygones for outer borders or how to take out water parts.
Briefly you have to prepare klm files wih google earth and save them in the working directory, the polygones have to be named BlendOn / Blend Max for land borders and Coast /DeepWater for water borders... Well, for the rest read the manual.
Here are some examples that I have obtained:

I am using these services:

[Service3]
ServiceCodeing = xyz
ServiceUrl     = http://us.maps3.yimg.......p;v=1.5&t=a        # You need to replace both groups of ****.***
Referer       = http://us.maps3.yimg.com
UserAgent     = Mozilla/4.0
[Service4]
ServiceCodeing   = qrts
ServiceUrl       = http://khm0.google.c...%s&n=404&v=1000   #you need to replace the * with a service base url
#Referer       = http://khm0.google.com
ServerVariations = khm0,khm1,khm2,khm3

FSET is great.
Enjoy

Sorry to go off the point of this thread a little, how do you get Map2BGL to work properly? All I get when I try to run the program is: 'Service not configured'. I tried checking the manual, but it doesn't tell you how to set up the services to download from.

FSET is great! However, no matter how hard I try I can never get the water mask thing to work. Is t possible if anybody could create a step-by step tutorial on how to use the blend on blend max and coast features using FSET?

Hi

I have had quite the same water mask problem with FSET when run for FS9. Despite a great deal of trials, I could never get to create a satisfactory method of using the water mask tool. I think that the FSET water mask is not well compatible with FS9, as people have never been heard complaining about this problem with FSX.

So I gave up with FSET water mask for FS9... But even that doesn't stop FSET from being an amazing tool.
