Well I couldn't help myself tonight and just had to see what it looked like with the RAM and heatsink installed.  Good thing I checked because the Heatsink will not fit in the way so that the fan can blow the hot air out the back of the case.  Rather, it will be blowing the hot air out of the 140mm top exhaust fan on the Three Hundred (got lucky that the case has a top exhaust fan!)  The fit is very tight, but I don't think I'm going to have a problem installing the heatsink.  BTW - This heatsink is HUGE!!!  :hrmm:

The E8400 E0 should arrive around Wednesday, which is when I will install the CPU, RAM, and Heatsink onto the motherboard and install the motherboard into the case.  Stay tuned... :hrmm:

Wow, that's a really massive heatsink.

What are the magenta RAM slots for?
On the fifth picture, above the second set of USB plugs, that's that?

The red RAM slots?  Their just two more RAM slots, Gigabyte just colors them differently because if you only run 2 sticks you need to put them in slot 1 and 3 (or slot 2 and 4) for dual channel.  And if I understand you correctly, what you're looking at above the USB are firewire connections.

Well, here's the estimated cost for the computer:

Case:  $35
Mobo: $130
RAM:  $55
HD:    $55
Cooler: $30
CPU:   $150
PSU:  ~ $100
OS:    ~$100
DVD+RW: $25
GFX: ~ $220

Estimated Grand Total: ~ $900
Received the case and the cooler for an early birthday present so it's really closer to $840.  Not sure which graphics card I'm going to go with yet.  I'm going to try and wait until Nvidia release their GTX270 and GTX290 next month and see what prices the GTX260's go to.

Thanks guys.  Waiting patiently for my next parts to arrive, it's sad just staring at the empty case! :hrmm:
jetOne - I didn't actually think about the color of the RAM until after I ordered it.  You're right though, matched the motherboard perfectly lol.  I ordered the motherboard from Newegg, they should have it on the Canada website as well.

They're red.

My friend's brothers are also color blind for the colors: Blue, red, and green I think.

I didn't read his post as intentionally offensive... Why the bitter response?

Anywho... Looks good so far. Keep posting photos.

Guys, keep the crap out of this thread.  PM each other if you feel it necessary to post such stuff k? Anyways, thanks for everyone who's showns interest in this thread, I will be sure to update you guys soon once my E8400 comes in as I will install the motherboard into the case then and drill some holes into the case for cable management.  As for not seeing everything from the outside, I might modify the case down the road and install a side window.  But for now it's all about getting it up and running.  (And overclocking of course!  :hrmm: )

Update

Well folks, some good news & some bad news.  The good news is that the E8400 came in today.  The bad news, well, the Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer cooler will not fit on this motherboard.  It's special clip-on design interferes with the heatsinks on the motherboard so it's going back to Newegg.  For now, I'll have to use a stock Intel heatsink.  I used an older version from a E6750 65nm because the heatsink is more than double the size of the new 45nm heatsinks.  Also took off the stock thermal grease and replaced it with some Tuniq TX-2 so we'll see how the temps are.  Video card comes in later today and the PSU will come in on Friday so I should have the system up and running by then!
