I was hoping to buy a payware SAAB 340 for FSX.  Unfortunately, the only one I could find was made by a now defunct company, FFS.  Anyone have any thoughts or know of a company planning to make one?  Seems like PMDG would be able to crank one out and add it to the "PMDG Express" line.

Short of that, I have downloaded countless freeware SAAB 340's, and have to say I have not been impressed with any of them. I fly from the VC, so I like it to be realistic.  Anyone know of a realistic freeware SAAB 340 with VC?

Thanks for the reply!  :hrmm:

I note it is for FS9, but I might be able to get it to work in FSX. To bad the review said:

The panel and the virtual cockpit are simple. All the basic functions are present, but expect nothing more. The textures in the virtual cockpit are low resolution and look a bit blurry, especially on high resolution monitors. Also, only a few handles and switches are clickable. The engine sound doesn't resemble a turboprop, they sound more like the default Cessna 172.

I guess I will have to wait until somebody decides to do this one again (if ever).

It's really frustrating that their are no "top notch" payware in this class for FSX.  They are such fun planes to fly.

I tried porting over my PMDG B1900C, but the VC just doesn't compare to the rest of my fleet.  A Saab 340, Dash 8, 1900, ATR, etc would be awesome.

I'm really on the hunt for this SAAB plane as well, I really hope someone puts in the time to make a snazzy one!
