The grass is too green in my opinion.
But the scenery looks great !

Yeah the grass is a different colour in every photo I have.

It does get that green. The rain comes a lot to Barbados. I can tinker with the colours though and I'll have a look at this.

BEAUTIFUL

I CANNOT WAIT TO DOWNLOAD!!

THE TIRE MARKS ON RUNWAYS ARE MASTERPIECE ESPECIALLY AT END OF RUNWAYS WHERE TIRE MAKES SHOW PLANES MAKING U-TURN!!

Will you be adding cargo and maintenance hangers to your superb airport scenry?

Aharon

Thanks.

The airport has a small run down cargo apron which services some DHL and smalll island cargo. There's a huge new cargo terminal planned for some time in the near future. There's also some maintenance scattered around and there's a small GA flying club on the southern side of the field, which I have no info on but will include in rudimentary form.

Quick shot of how the apron lighting is coming along.

I am trying to avoid the use of bgl effects for lighting here and do it entirely in the texturing. It's very much trial and error.

fyi, there's 7 layers of ground polys in this.

(sorry to hijack the topic...)

Speaking of green grass, I was looking at photos from Tokyo Narita while looking at Google Earth at the same time.

Strangely, GE has normal yellow-ish grass in the summer, but videos and photos show green grass. Is there an explanation for this?

Yes. The same thing is visible on GE for Barbados. GE shows very brown dry. Not entirely accurate. Must be the equipment used to take the photos from space.

7 layers of ground polys? What does each layer include?

7 layers of textures, which adds more detail. Flytampa does the same. Theres a tutorial out on it take a look at it. Will improve the look of your scenery alot.

flyhalf,

any reasons why you refrain from using the effects BGL?

The little light halo glows up on the poles I will use, but those BGL ground effects I won't cause they look poo from distance.

Ambient Night lighting done via the textures only. When this is combined with the UT style light points it will look nice.
