Now, don't call me selfish to think I deserve my own post, but I was incredibly lucky this year and had many amazing experiences and opportunities in 2008 to capture new things. It's my pleasure to share these photos, and I certainly hope you'll agree.

2. Contrails develop on the exhaust of a Canadian North 737-200M during climbout at -30° temperatures
3. A Douglas DC-4 of Buffalo Airways departs CYVQ homeward bound to CYZF (Yellowknife, NWT) after offloading a cargo load of groceries and cargo.
4. This North-Wright DHC-6 Twin Otter arrives at its home base of CYVQ. It is equipped with skis to operate flights to off-strip locations for the winter season.
5. Canadian North flight 444 departs CYVQ bound for CYEV (Inuvik, NWT)
6. A view out the F/O's window on a C208 Cessna Caravan traveling between CEB3 (Colville Lake, NWT) and CYVQ. The weather radar is housed inside the blister on the starboard wing.
7. Another Buffalo Airways cargo flight departing CYVQ, this time a Curtis C-46 Commando. This aircraft, C-FAVO, was manufactured in 1945, and has since served a number of operators including the US military and Lufthansa
8. This Lockheed L-100 (L-382G) Hercules departs with a full load of oil and fuel drums for CYPC (Paulatuk, NWT)

18. Sikorsky S-76A of Ornge departs on a medevac flight from CYXU (London, ON)
19. A ronery dilapidated Turbo Seneca (C-GSSW) tucked away into a corner at CZBA (Burlington, ON)
20. On final into CNR4 (Tobermory, ON) with the 182.
21. An Aeroflot B767-300 makes a firm touchdown on YYZ's 24R moments before sunset.
22. The #1 engine housing on an Air Canada B777-300, sans engine.
23. In position on runway 34 at CYYC in the Air Canada Embraer simulator. Moments later, we'd be witnessing our simulated deaths in a 150 knot windshear scenario.
