From your post I can't see anyone being able to help you. More details are needed... What, when and where.

First, try this device identifier. Download and unzip.(Do not unzip Devicelists.zip) Run the program, paste the results.

Also, is this for laptop/desktop? Internal/External? USB/PCI?

How can I find out the make/model? This is on a Dell Inspiron 531 Desktop, just after installing XP again.

Sorry forgot the link before, here you go.

Unknown Device Identifier

if that ^ doesn't work,

Turn off the computer and open the case, remove the wireless card and locate the brand and model number/product number.

The ASUS one is most likely yopur motherboard's onboard LAN. The Broadcom one will be your Wireless card.

Try this: http://www.broadcom....mine_driver.php

That's all you need to know.

http://support.dell.com, select your computer model and the drivers are there.

It must've been added after the unit was shipped then? :hrmm:

Either way, Broadcom should be the manufacturer.

Have you tried it? It says it applies to multiple wireless devices...
