I'm currently busy with a new Dutch virtual low-cost airline called Fly airME. The fleet will got 5 types of airplanes:
- Boeing 747-8i
- Boeing 787-8
- Boeing 797 (replacing the Boeing 737)
- Airbus A350-800XWB
- Airbus A360 (replacing the Airbus A320)
My question is if somebody can send me 2 paintkits of the Camsim Boeing 797 and de Camsim Airbus A360. Because the links on the Camsim-site doesn't work.
The planes that I get than are de Boeing 797 in house colors and with the A360 there is no link...
Can somebody help me?
Greetings from the Netherlands,
E-lines

The Airbus A360 hasn't been announced yet either, so again, no one knows what it will look like.
What's the point of flying an airliner that doesn't exist?

The point of a virtual airline is to simulate a real airline, is it not?

No, that's why it's virtual...
But considering a VA needs airplanes and I've only heard of 1 virtual aircraft manufacturer.. to have a VA and use "Boeings" or "Airbus'" that don't exist off of the drawing board is getting way too ahead of themselves...
What if the Boeing 797 ends up being a Flying wing? Guess Camsim and all the VA's have to change it...
Or what if the A360 ends up being a A300 replacement?
It's best to stick with what's out there in the real world, unless you want a VA that uses the poorest models around just to have something futuristic.

and this A360:
aren't official concepts of Boeing and Airbus. But I think they are realistic.
It's possible that the A360 never will look like this one, and maybe it's possible that it will replace the A300. The only thing is that we don't know yet.
The same with the Boeing 797. We don't know how the plane will looks like. The only thing that I know is that a "flying-wing" never be an option. For an evacuation, the plane will never been evacuated on-time.
So be honest,
It doesn't matter what kind of planes it are (for this fictional virtual airline). The only thing is that we know this are 2 concept planes...

Then why do successful VA's like Metroair fly a realistic fleet with real aircraft, and why do many VA's fly on VATSIM and IVAO, which uses procedures similar to real ATC, and why do VA's that mimic real airlines use real callsigns, and often make their websites look like the real airlines website? Why do VA's want good painters that make realistic looking paints and use systems for flight logging and have a pilot ranking system similar to real airlines?
Being virtual doesn't mean it isn't supposed to simulate the real thing. Flight Simulator is simulating real flying, virtual airlines simulate real airlines, aircraft developing companies like Posky try to make their aircraft look real, PMDG tries to make their aircraft have realistic systems. To be virtual in no way means it isn't meant to look and feel real.
