Hey all I just got a yoke system and FSX and I was wondering if ruder pedals are necessary. I am not a heavy simmer but I do like flying long distances like my longest flight today was 13 hours and I spent all that time at my computer =D. Thank you for writing me back =D.

If you have the money why not. It will make the game more realistic.

I agree with the other two posters in that you can't go wrong with a set of rudder pedals. The CH set should suffice your needs and are at a reasonable price. Depending on what aircraft you like to fly, a yoke wouldn't hurt either.
BTW, welcome to the forums.

Ive got the Saitek Rudder pedals and CH Yoke and ive never looked back. The only time that i use a joystick is when i fly an Airbus but i always keep the rudder control on the joystick disabled so the rudder pedals can do all the work

The CH Pro pedals are built more soundly and will last. I would go for those. Excellent product.
But yes, rudder pedals are quite necessary. Great for differential braking.

I gotta agree it will make the game more realistic, especially when you have both Yoke and Rudder Pedal from Saitek but they aren't cheap. If I get both it would cost me S$500.
