Now, this may very well be my poor landing skills, but i took the BAe 146-300 to LCY. Landed around 140 knots with the spoilers already activated. As soon as i touched down i manually (no autobrake) applied the brakes, but ended up running off the end of the runway. Either its me, or i need to upgrade the brakes.
Does anyone have any idea of how one would do that? Or is it going against some policy of HJG, the desinger of the aircraft.
Thanks

Please apply the autobrakes and engaged the thrust reversers and the the spoilers when you hit the ground.

Go to the Learning Center in FSX if you have it and find the Jets section, scroll all the way down the page and you see the last orange box full of typing right? Read it. And you will know. :hrmm: Sorry I can't copy and paste for you, it doesn't work in FSX.

F2= engage thrust reversers
Shift+/= Arm the Spoilers
Auto Brakes= Set them in your cocpit and if you don't know where, it should teel you in the Jets section again.
If it doesn't work by clicking in the cocpit, set a keyboard command for it. It has 1, 2, and 3 right? 1 is for less powerful and 3 is for
the most powerful, and sometimes you have MAX.

Hope I helped. :hrmm:

And you will probably have to have permission from the author before you can do changes to the plane.

I saw your shot on your other topic, if that one is it, you're a bit high like I commented and also, you will set your
wheels on fire if you only use your brakes.

Give it a good ol' stab of that gorgeous F2 button

And as far as i know you can make little changes like altering brake strength as long as you don't distribute any files.

Hi all, 'fraid the BAe has no reverse thrust, thats why im in this problem. With autobrake 3 i managed to pull off at the last taxiway, i was just wondering if there was anything else I can do. Autobrake MAX sounds a little OTT :hrmm:
Thanks anyhow :hrmm:

Ive been editing it so i could land at ST.Barts, Toe Brakes+Reverse Thrusters were edited. And so was the takeoff thrust scalar..

I appreciate Historic Jetliners Groups aircraft and im not redistributing anything but my cfg file. Which was barely edited..:hrmm:

Thanks AirTotal, but what is it you've edited. Are you saying the your BAe now has reverse thrust?
Thanks

I increased the toe brake effectiveness (Stop Sooner)

I enabled the aircraft to use reverse thrust, although it hs no reverse thruster animation.

And i increased the engine thrust, enabling it to takeoff on small airports easily (TFFJ, EGLC, etc.)

Basically a STOL BAe-146..

Ah okidokey, thanks alot. I may steal your break settings :hrmm: though i could do with practicing my LCY landings, just in case its my poor piloting

I've mapped reverse thrust to a key on my Joystick, right next to my spoilers. Works like a charm. I've never had good luck with arming spoilers.

F2= engage thrust reversers

You have no right to tell people how to fly planes,your a noob your self.
