I can make a variant and save the textures in FS Repaint.  I use GIMP 2.6 as an external editor.  I finished my paint and saved it.  I then closed FS repaint and booted up FSX and it didn't appear.  It also doesn't appear in Addit!  It continues to appear in FS Repaint.

Any thoughts on the problem?

Use DXTBmp and be carefull to graph types.
