Paging Lukla Airport. Yes that is where we are going this month, Lukla. We will be having the fun of taking off, and landing there. For those of you who don't know, Lukla is a tiny little airport in the middle of the Himalayas, that has one usable end of one runway which spits you out right over the side of a cliff. Did I mention it's altitude is already about 10K feet ASL?

The Event:

This event is set for Saturday, August 29 at 2000Z (4 EST, 1 PST). Our starting airport will be Lukla (VNLK). We will then fly to another Airport in the region Phaplu, and then to Syngboche and then return to Lukla for the ever so classic approach.

Scenery is required for this event.

-Airport Scenery may be found at AVSIM
-Mesh may be also be found at AVSIM.
-Aerosoft also has scenery for this area, though I am unsure of its compatibility with that listed above.

Planes:

You can try to fly the default Cessna here, but I would advise against it. You are going to need a high performance single or twin prop plane to get through these mountains, There are many great planes available, I leave it up to you to find them.

Where:

The Flight will take place on the FlightSimWorld Multiplayer server. The server's IP address is 64.85.160.87

If you have any questions, just PM me. :hrmm:

The default C206 is the only Cessna that you could really take up to VNLK in real life, and even then, I'd advise against it. Bring the twins.

There is something wrong with the mesh, three of the files in it are corrupt/damaged.

Oh come on,Is there anyway we could host a Teamspeak? I know some people don't have mics but for the ones like me that do it would be much much more fun.

There already is a Teamspeak serve, but no one uses it. :hrmm:

Alright, so my plan was to use the Twin Otter, but when I tried it, it was a bit to easy, so if anyone has a plane that is a bit more challenging, I'm open for sugestions :hrmm:

Get the Aerosoft scenery. I tried but there always seems to be a 20kts cross wind, nice and hard.
