After a series of successful events and a break from Real Operations events at London's busy Gatwick Airport, it's time for another one! Last decade saw many fantastic events for the UK's South East RTS; this decade we're going ever further.

This year there will be 16 hours of full air traffic control service from 0600Z to 2200Z, and 150 more bookable flights than last year. Last time, pilots said it was the busiest airspace they had ever flown in - but they've seen nothing yet! South East RTS and VATSIM-UK will take the world's busiest single runway airport to the foundations, and are attempting to make a VATSIM World Record: 550 bookable flights and movements in one day.

London-Gatwick (EGKK) is London's second largest international airport and second busiest in the UK. It has the world's busiest single-use runway and is Europe's leading airport for point-to-point flights.

There are over 90 destinations from Alicante to Zürich, from long haul flights to short haul flights, from business jets to airliners, and from luxury carriers such as British Airways to low cost carriers like Easyjet. We have it all!

Non-booked IFR traffic and VFR traffic is welcome, but subject to severe delays as booked IFR flights have priority.

The event is always extremely popular, book your flight(s) now to avoid disappointment. We hope to see you on Saturday 27th February 2010, for the record-breaking Gatwick Real Operations.

Book your flights here: http://realops.vatsim-uk.org/?ev=36

The pilot's guide will be up as soon as it is finalised. In the meantime, get booking!
