Last weekend I flew to Corfu to enjoy the sun and do some spotting. The weather in Germany was horrible the last weeks so a change in temperature was pretty nice.
I left our house at 1.30pm and drove to Stuttgart airport. I parked my car and went to the terminal and checked-in.
My first out of three flights to Corfu would bring me to Budapest. Malev had a superb offer for 150€ routing Stuttgart-Budapest-Athens. My friend took Norwegians cheap fare and flew Dusseldorf-Copenhagen-Oslo-Corfu.
Anyways, we boarded our Dash 8-400, HA-LQC in Stuttgart. After a smooth flight and an even smoother transit in Budapest I was already sitting in my next flight. HA-LOI, a 737-700, would bring me to Athens. The service of Malev is ok, nothing special. Cabin crew seems pretty old compared to other european airlines. I got some sleep onboard and woke up during decent. The city of Athens was nicely lit and I really didn't know there were actually mountains.
After deboarding, I looked for a spot to sit down and relax some more hours until my flight to Corfu would be ready.
Eventually, I ended up in a rainy and cold Corfu (wth?) at 7.00am. My friend already landed a few hours earlier and welcomed me.
Now, onto the pictures. Saturday was crap. It just wouldn't stop raining until the late evening so we got soaking wet and ended up spotting from our hotel room.
One of the first aircraft to show up was this Monarch A321. On this day, there were 3 Monarch flights, one scheduled, one to pick up passengers for a broken 321 (it got fixed and returned home on a ferry flight in the night).

My 8 hours layover in Athens sucked. The airport really doesn't offer anything apart from a few shops before security check and some more behind. I called my dad to rebook me on Aegean via Dusseldorf but apparently ended up booking me for October. Boy, the girls at the Aegean check-in had a laugh when they saw my booking haha.
Again, Malev was OK. Got the exit row on Athens-Budapest which was really good to get some sleep.
Thanks for watching, see the gear in my signature and if there are questions about Corfu or anything else, just ask
