Yep, the whole Constellation/Orion project was for man to return to the moon in the early stages, but SOMEONE -cough-Obama-cough- cancelled it.

I fail to see why a factual event, in your infinite wisdom, manages to violate the General Forum Rules. Is it fair to say that the written context of "World War II" or "Vietnam" violate the forum rules? The article is far from inflammatory. I'd be surprised if you even much as opened the link.
If you scroll up the page, you'll observe that the only post in this thread referencing a politician was in fact yours.
In summary,
1) You are not a moderator. Please stop pretending you are one.
2) Realize the hypocricy of your words
I know the impact of my statement is on-par with that of talking to a brick wall, however, a solid public shaming might get the point across.

Because someone mentioned wanting to see a moon landing, and I was stating it was on the books, but canceled.
Oh, I opened the link, and noticed how, by some incredible coincidence, right after the part you drew people's attention to, it stated.....

That has no place in this thread, none, nada, zip, zilch. And knowing your attitude, that was what you wanted people to see.
Scram.

Then that makes things a good deal easier for the both of us.
Back to the topic at hand, which is Discovery's final flight, and NOT the cost of going to Mars versus the cost of Iraq.

Actually, people who buy tickets can view it from there, so, yes, it is useful, newb.

A limited number of special launch day tickets and launch day packages are available several weeks prior to each launch. Launch day packages can include a variety of options for touring, viewing and even dining with an astronaut.

That and the fact its packed as . Just find a spot across the river in Titusville, or hit up Coco Beach. Titusville is a bit closer than Coco, but you can actually watch it from the beach at the latter.
