There are a few issues with the default, my settings are stable now, with the original, some settings I changed would change back to default after a couple of reboots.

Okay, so I should update my Asus P8P67 to latest BIOS revision when I get it, before overclocking?

I got my 2600K from MC today! Just a processor in a box right now. Hopefully I can sell my old rig by the end of the week and make another run to MC (or online w/ newegg) so I can start building Saturday!

To make a fair comparison to my old system, I need to install REX and UT2.   Will do that tomorrow.  So far I have FTX NRM and PFJ on, Realair Duke ( VC is heavy on frames).  Setup my controls and done a quick flight around Seatlle withouth touching the fsx.cfg  Settings were all high except roadtraffic and boats at 40%, water at high, not max.  Flying low over the city I have around 45FPS.  With thunderstorms on I have 35FPS.  No stutters at all.    I need to finish installs tomorrow and set the game up and the CPU back to 3.4Ghz then I can make a direct comparison ( I also need to setup nHancer so I forgot I need to put a slightly older nVidia driver on to get that to work).  The aim is to beat the 8FPS I had on my old system at KSEA.

Bios 1003 seems very stable.  I manually set cpu to 1.25v (it appears that default 1.1 or 1.2v, whatever it is,  is enough to overclock to around 4.2 or 4.3), I set the multiplier to 42, the memory voltage to 1.5 (or 1.55, cant rememeber but its not 1.65v as the memory specifies), BCLK is 100 (this option changes to manual when you change your multiplier from auto to manual, hence some people probably thought it was low risk to increase it a little).  Flying around for 10 mins and max cpu temp was 61, 62, 64, 65 all the cores.

Bis morgen!

Why settle for older drivers? Use the newest and get nvidia inspector.

Indeed, nVidia Inspector works much better than nHancer, and it's one less thing that needs to run in the background.

Guys I'm not sure what motherboard to get:

- ASRock P67 Extreme4
- ASUS P8P67
- GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD3
- MSI P67A-GD55
- Anything better?

What one should I chose?

I suggest you the P8P67, Asus is really a good choice, but compare all theses cards and take a decision! It's difficult!

I'm not experienced with overclocking, so what motherboard will be the easiest to work with, and is also very good?

Any of them will do good, except look at gigabyte UD3P -OR- better for the gigabyte line..
