will this video card allow me to run xplane 9

best buy sells them for $89 xfx - ati radeon hd 4650 ddr2 pci express graphics card

i meet all the other minumum requirements but when i tried to install it i got a error saying that my video card did not support some of the 3d features, here are my computer specs

X-Plane has a problem working with ATI video cards.
To avoid these problems, get an nvidia graphics card.

i have a regular size case not the big gaming ones like some people have how would i know if the card would fit

Dubuque,

The graphics card you selected is a PCI-Express card ... your motherboard only supports AGP. You should look at this card instead: Radeon HD 4650 1GB AGP http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814125281

This should be a good enough solution for you to enjoy XP 9 on your current setup without having to spend a few hundred dollars on a new system.

However, you will probably need a new computer to run XP 10 once it comes out.

im also getting a ram upgrade around 2gb i read online that ram normally costs around $32 a gig so i might get 2gb

You need to be pretty clear on what type of memory your motherboard uses ... you can't just run off and get the latest stuff (like you nearly did with your video card) because it's not going to work. Do some research first, find out what speed memory is compatible with your specific motherboard.

According to the specs you posted your motherboard is VIA P4M800 Pro.

i got everytrhing this morning i took it to a shop but i have xplane 9 up and running now but i get extremly low fps while in chase view but i get great fps while in the cockpit
