As you may or may not know, I've released a few textures for Thomas Ruth's Airbus series. However, I've noticed a difference that annoys me: some textures have a higher resolution than mine.

This is one of the textures that came with the A333 package:

Here's another repaint done by another person with the normal repaint package I use:

This is a repaint I did myself:

If you look at the windows and door edges, you can see a clearly better resolution with the Qantas repaint. I've used different software to take my paints from Photoshop to the DDS files. I've used DXTBmp for adding Alpha Channels but there is no actual resolution changes seen.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or what I can do to increase the repaint quality?

What are you saving as in Photoshop before converting to BMP? 24 or 322 bit.

Well, the process for the main texture goes as this:

1. Photoshop file of fuselage.
2. JPEG of fuselage
3. Direct DDS saving to the aircraft folder.

I don't use BMP's in the actual process.

JPEG = no no

1. PSD
2. BMP (32bit)
3. Go to DXTBMP and convert to DDS (make sure MipMaps are unchecked)
