Ladies and gentlemen...5 new screenshots are now live!  :hrmm: They are pretty awesome, especially the first two where a new single engine airplane is shown.

If anyone knows the locations of the first two shots, I'll get to work on the comparisons in FSX.  :hrmm:  I also would like to know what type of plane that is in those shots...

No, I went on the Avsim forums and saw a thread stating that there were new shots added. I rarely check the Flight website anymore because there are not very frequent updates.  :hrmm:

Hmm new screens look great, water looks a little toned down though especially on the one with the hotels on the coast.  :hrmm:

I think they're getting less impressive each time. These look more like FSX than any of the others. Evidently still lacking some of the base features I was hoping for as well, although obviously they're WIP so could be subject to change. We'll see...

Can someone reupload them? I can't install (stupid) Silverlight.

I'm pretty sure you'll rethink that after I'm done with the comparison shots in FSX.  :hrmm: You'd be surprised how big the changes are.  :hrmm:

Aside from the blurry ground textures, I think they look pretty nice, especially the airport. I love how it blends well into the surrounding scenery.

Yeah, the blurries were the only thing I didn't like. I wish they'd get that fixed! :hrmm:

I'm aware of what differences there are, and don't really need comparison shots. All I'm saying is that these look the least impressive, and the most similar to FSX of all the Flight screenies so far.

Also seems pretty definitive now that there's no cloud shadows, and almost unbelievably, still blurry ground texturing! I can only hope that at least the latter of those two observations is some sort of fluke, as if they haven't fixed fundamental complaints like that from previous versions, then I don't hold out much hope for this.

Are the screenshots viewable somewhere else? Silverlight is given me allergies.

I think they look good. I agree I definitely can see some similarity with FSX, but if they made it stable and smooth I'm more than happy.

I agree with that, those screenshots have clearly nothing impressive at all inside.
Especially when you compare them with the XPlane 10 preview screenshots...

It's crashing every time on my end.

FFS, I am convinced Flash is more stable than Silverlight.

Anyway, the screenshots look kind of... I dunno... bland? Nothing really sticks out. It looks like FSX.

I'll be impressed when I see gameplay performance.

Same here. As long as they make it run smoothly and stably, I'd be happy if they keep the same level of graphics, because with developers like FTX, REX, FSDT, and PMDG, it will eventually look gorgeous.

You may think it looks like FSX, but once you see the comparison shots, that may change. There are definitely some things in these shots that are not possible in FSX no matter what add-ons you get, such as HD waves that appear to almost leave the sand wet, and building self shadowing.

I've got all the comparisons done except for #2. I can't seem to find the location at which that one was taken. Once I find it, I'll post the comparisons.

Nice new screenshots! Though they do look like FSX a bit, the lighting and the shadows steal the show.

Also, the foam looks great this time! Unlike FSX where it was just an animated texture.

The sim looks basically complete now. I don't mind if it looks like FSX. FSX looks really nice when you think about it. But if it has rock solid stability, with FSX (+new) eye-candy, COUNT...ME....IN
