Ok since I use FSInn, I just figured out it has it's own little GPWS which is cool. How can I disable the FSX GPWS, which consists only of Sink Rate, too low flaps, too low gear, and Pull Up? I looked in the settings for Sound but there's nothing there.

Honestly I wouldn't bother with flying default aircraft.

No, the default GPWS (pull up, too low flaps, too low gear, sink rate) is on all aircraft, regardless of whether it's default or not.

Removing the sound file? Like the other poster, I suggest flying add-ons. Don't worry if those shout out "Retard" during landing. The sim isn't actually insulting you with a derogatory term.

You're not understanding. I want to turn off the pilot voice in FSX, the one that comes with the game, where if your landing it says Pull up or sink rate.

That's not the pilot voice. The airplane's computer says that. There isn't a way to disable it without removing the sound files. Had you thoroughly read my first post, you would have noticed I suggested removing the files already.

If you are landing and your airplane is telling you either of those, then you're landing is

Your are probably descending to fast for approach, you should not here those call outs during normal flight operations, you may be handling the aircraft to abruptly.

Guys, I think you're missing the point. He wants to turn off the sound feature. I would say maybe go into that aircraft's sound folder and delete, rename, or move the sound file that correlates to that callout.
