as long as it doesn't affect the performance in a way where you cannot play without any problems yeah, but I think there are much more important things to be added/edited in the sim to think about something as big as 3D

3D rendering doubles the processing which means the performance hit is 50%.  :hrmm:

I've found 3D to be gimmicky at best. I couldn't imagine wearing some awkward clunky glasses for hours on end to have slightly more "fun" visuals and horribly worse performance.

Have you tried it? It is said that it makes the game way more immersive. And if you have the right hardware, performance is not horrible.

Home 3D its far beyond Cinema 3D.
If you ever have the chance to experience LG Cinema 3D, do so.

Personally I'm not a big fan of 3D. It doesn't work because things are in the foreground and background and the background is blurred, because ofcourse the camera can only focus on a certain point. SO it's very unnatural you can't focus on the background in the final 3D image.

For games I don't know maybe it works better since the view is rendered and not filmed,  I don't have any 3D games.

Except... Wolfenstein 3D. :hrmm:

3D without glasses is the future, 3D with 3D glasses is lame.

I think it would be neat given the sim was coded to eeffectively utilize multi gpu solutions. There's no way a single gpu would be able to cope with the load IMO. Then there's the 24 fps limitation for hdmi at 1080p resolution. I just recently got a 3d tv and it's definitely no gimmick. The effect can be anywhere in between mediocre to amazing. Sometimes things can look as if they were popping out of the screen or flying at you. It all depends on the game/movie. Where it really shines in games is in depth. It's like looking further into the world of the game. I can imagine it would be quite an immersive experience in a sim.
