How's the gopro 3? Much better than 2 or not? Worth the price difference?

I was somewhat dissapointed with my GoPro2 - the colours and definition are nothing like what you see in their promo videos.

I haven't seen much footage that isn't GoPro's own from the Hero3.

I actually haven't physically got it yet, my parents will be buying it for me within the next week. :D I'm excited.

I love mine...  I need to buy a new mount for it though...  the dry one, or whatever the regular one is called (the one that isn't clear plastic).

I have a 64gb card in it and I have it mounted to my dash on my truck and have it recording in HD on a loop..  so if I get into an accident, I have video proof of whatever happened.

If that's it's inteded use then why not buy something purpose built like the RoadHawk - much cheaper!

It was a great phone at the time tbf. It's a shame motorola failed to keep up with the competition somewhat once the trend moved to touch-screen smartphones. I'm pretty sure my first mobile was a motorola.

Update about the GoPro, I have just purchased the Go Pro Hero 3 Black Edition. My wallet is on fire. Somebody call the fire department. Thanks to my mom for the awesome graduation/late Christmas present! I chipped in a little dough too.

I saw this too when looking for gifts. I wouldn't mind one myself - but it's not really something to buy yourself.

You started it yet?

Not yet. Can't decide whether to scratch the whole of the USA and Australia or just the rough areas I've been to.

To be frank, I think it looks nice. If I had one, I'd just frame it. :P

Yeah, Amy and I had this discussion too, I think it'd be a bit mad to scratch out the whole of the USA, but maybe the state that you've been to?  The smaller countries would be harder to do though this way.

I got pretty much everything that I asked for. Namely oven mitts. And socks.

Although I caved during the Steam sale and bought DCS A:10 / DCS Blackshark / Take on Helicopters
