I am looking for a laptop that runs FSX or XPLANE 10 well.  My limit is around $500. Any help would be great.

Define "well"

You're not going to get a laptop cabable of running either for $500 unless you're happy with it looking like FS95.

I'm sorry but that just isn't going to happen.

A laptop that costs $500 will barely run FSX or XP10. A PC of that price cound maybe run FSX vanilla on medium settings, but anything higher, lag, lag, and boom, crash! You will need a mid-high end PC to run FSX properly with addons. Or you can try FS2004, which is not as bad as you think and works better on older PCs. Sorry.
