The Grass Roots Flying Club is a General Aviation Club on the Vatsim network. What the objective is to host event drawing the interest of General Aviation Flying on Vatsim. There is no logging hours or filing pireps. You just join to get on the roster to show that you attend the events when you can and that you support the group! What we do at the Grass Roots Flying Club is host General Aviation Fly-Ins at small grass strips to large general aviation airports on the vatsim network. Anyone is welcome to join the group. We just opened our doors September 18th 2013 and will be hosting out first event on September 23rd 2013. You can see the event info on our website or in the vatsim forums in the events section! In the future we plan on hosting many more events and even some poker runs! For our events we plan to have a wide variety in locations and time/dates. That way there will always be an upcoming event fitted to everyone's schedule. We also plan on taking suggestions for events. Finally we plan to stay away from other VATUSA events time slots to maximize aircraft numbers, in fact we will probably include the VATUSA events into our schedule with maybe the change to a satellite general aviation airport. So I welcome you all to come check us out and have some fun!
