Hi All,

Would someone please help me out with the answers to :
  • Are the SIDs and STARs in FSX built into FSX or into the aircraft add-ons?
  • How do I update the database with the latest SIDs and STARs?

Thanks a TON in advance, I'm truly grateful!

Best,

Lucky

Eureka, I researched on my own and found a solution that works. Here it is:

Buy an FMS dataset from Navigraph and download the Wilco/Feelthere 737/777, Legacy, Airbus Series set .

Your desktop's top-level Flight Simulator X directory is  Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X (which I shall henceforth abbreviate to "FSX").

When the FMS dataset mentioned above is unzipped and installed, it automatically is put into FSX\feelThere\Nd. However, the A380 V2 looks in FSX\Wilco\Nd instead for navigational information.

Therefore copy-paste the nav information in FSX\feelThere\Nd to FSX\Wilco\Nd (you'll have to change the name of the original mdb file in FSX\Wilco\Nd to avoid an overwriting situation). Then start your flight from scratch and enjoy the rich collection of nav data now at your fingertips!

I came upon this technique from Chris at http://pretendflyer....e-troubles.html .

Good luck to all,
