   Let me tell you a tale of woe.  A week ago I purchased a new 2 Gb video card and that ###### thing was unstable and kept crashing to blue screen which required many hard boots ( turing off ) without a shutdown.  These reboots resulted in several of my programs refusing to start which included FSX.

Now the other programs are not that important to me but the FSX is the reason that I have this big machine.

   I have spent the past week trying to correct he problem and all that I have discovered is that FSX will not start because it cannot find the fsx.cfg file.  I have tried to repair the FSX using the disk but that did not help.

   My last hope before I have to take it all down and reinstall is that someone out here knows a fix.

It seems odd that FSX would refuse to start on account of a missing fsx.cfg file - this file should be auto generated if it doesn't exist.

How do you know that this is the reason?
