With XP support ending soon I'll be moving to a new machine with Windows 7. I need to do a re-install of everything.

My plan was to backup my current FS9 folders and install it the usual way before copying addons etc to the new one, but I've just discovered I don't have my Disk 4. I have the rest, just not 4. I have the No CD patch on this machine but it won't be of any use for installation.

My question is this, is it safe to simply copy and paste the entire Flight Simulator 9 folder to the new computer as well as the fs9.cfg and all the rest of it?

Disregard, I haven't seen it in years and just found it at my feet.

Oops.

Although you found your disc I thought I would comment in case anyone else had the same problem.

I think simple copying and pasting the Fs9 folder would not work, as flight simulator makes entries into the registry when it is installed.

I did a normal install but then copied the Gauges, Aircraft, Scenery etc over and used the Flight1 Registry Tool.
