I might need some Guru input here:
After some research, I've come up with, what I believe, a build setup that is able to run the infamous FSX.
One concern on the MB posted, on the spec sheet it does not specify if it is PCIe 3.0... Are things like that a given nowadays?

Looks pretty good, but personally I would get only 8GB of RAM and an i5 instead of an i7 processor as the hyper threading in the i7 will not benefit FSX or any other simulator. With the money you saved on those two things, I would get a faster GPU (aim for a GTX 970), as although FSX is largely processor dependent, anti aliasing and clouds are very hard on the graphics card and the GTX 750 Ti is a rather low tier card. Also, if you ever decide to move to Prepar3D 2.0 or X-Plane, a more powerful graphics card will be very beneficial.

I can try and do a more thorough overview tomorrow, it's kind of late now. :(

Hey, thanks on the input :-)
I switched to a GTX970, and got 3 4gb sticks ($20 difference).

Now, onto my other concern:
I don't see anywhere on the motherboard specs that it says it supports PCIe 3.0. I'm I missing something or is that a given nowadays??

According to Newegg, the motherboard you posted has one PCIe 3.0 slot. :) Check under the specifications tab. http://www.newegg.co...8-707-_-Product

Ahhh there it is... The amazon description did not specify. As a matter of fact, I'm ordering the motherboard from newegg as it is $25 cheaper :-D

Thanks for the help!
