Hi folks, first post but been interloper for years

I decided to pull out my old FSX Acceleration discs and install it to a Toshiba C660 Windows 7 Premium laptop that is about 2 years old - but it simply won't work, stopping at "uninstalling components" on disc 1

Checking in task manager is shows 'setup.exe' process is stopped

This is a clean install to a recently rebuilt machine (HDD died and new one was put in and Windows reinstalled)

FSX has installed fine on an older Sony Win 7 laptop so not sure what the issue is - any suggestions?

well I decided to reinstall one last time, left FSX for 30 mins and it worked - no idea why it took so long but happy bunny now
