Can someone explain what's up with the speed limiters on the standard FSX aircraft. For example, the Learjet 45 is supposed to cruise at over 400 knots, but the simulator starts complaining about over speed at 335 knots. Why is it we cannot reach the published normal crusing speed. This happens also with most of the airliners.

Thanks

The indicated airspeed depends on your altitude (the outer air pressure). Look at the gps groundspeed for your reference.

The overspeed warning happens when the TRUE airspeed exceeds the airframes limit. (400ish for the Learjet, as you stated) The airspeed that is displayed on the aircraft's airspeed indicator is indicated airspeed.

True airspeed is your indicated airspeed adjusted for Temperature and Pressure.

Hope this explains it a little bit!
