I'm trying to set up FS Pilot to run with FSX Gold.
FS Pilot is an Autopilot program.
FS Pilot will run on a second PC on my network.
FSX Gold will run on my simulator PC, also on the network.

According to FS Pilot, FSX Gold will run as a Server and communicate with FS Pilot via SimConnect.
The first requirement is that SimConnect be running on both PCs and that Port 500 be open.
I have installed SimConnect from the SDK on the 2nd PC.
FS Pilot comes with a small program that tests to see if it is communicating with FSX Gold.
This program indicates that it is not communicating.

Do I also need to install SimConnect on the FSX Gold Server?
Or is SimConnect automatically installed and run by FSX Gold?
(I do not see SimConnect explicitly installed on the Server)

How do I enable Port 500 on each computer?
I'm running ESET A/V on the Server and Norton A/V on the 2nd PC.

How do I test to see if Port 500 is open on each PC.

Any help you can offer will be appreciated.
