While I was installing the simulator discs, I managed to install disc No. 1 followed by No. 2 but when dic started to install and reached 67% the following information poped up

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 encountered a disc error while writing to file c:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator9\Scenary\Cities\Dallas\t….\003031002102222fa.bmp

What could be the cause of the error and how can this be solved?
