Here's a question for you - what do Home Depot, Hy-per Lube, Black Ice, Lian Li and some good old fashioned H2O have to do with simming? Everything of course!
One of our members (FLY CRJ) has embarked on a quest to build one of the fastest simming rigs around, and he's graciously documented it all for us with oodles (can I say that?) of drool-inducing photos.
With a little water cooling action for his CPU & GPU, a mysterious green substance and a radiator or two, he intends to push his Pentium4 3.0ghz to somewhere around 3.8ghz.
Pair that up with a Radeon 9800 Pro and a gigabyte or so of OCZ DDR500 and that's what we call a rig! If successful, he should be able to lay claim to having the fastest simming rig for at least a couple of months.
You can follow along and check out the photos here (part 1) and here (part 2).
