For simmers in Japan, there are a couple absolute musts:

Aerosim's lineup of Approach & Landing in Japan...six volumes of scenery containing just about every significant airport in the country.

http://www.aerosim.c...igo/page1_e.htm

And the incredible JapanScenery series of photoreal Kanto (Tokyo) and Kansai regional scenery.

I'm also a big fan of SimWings airports and German Airports 1-4.

Overland "Fly Into The Sky" Series. A lot of planes and liveries, and good detailed VCs. You should check it out.

I would like to add one of my favorites, which is Ariane's collection of  Boeing 737s to the list.  I own almost all of them and they are very good especially for those who like TrackIR. Right now Ariane is the only simulation that I know of that is officially licensed by Boeing.
Their VCe cockpit is very unique in that it is a fully workable virtual cockpit in which features of a 2d cockpit can be called up when needed.
The models I have are:
Ariane Boeing 737-500 which I use with the "Advanced Analog Panel"  (I don't think this model is available on their new website yet) 737-600, 737-900er and their BBJ.  These are the ones that I have. Some of the other ones that they have would probably be more or less repeats of these with just slight differences.  I also have their great stereo sound package that is impressive because it even adds the plane bumping over the center reflectors on the runway.
All of their planes have programmable FMC/CDU, accurate IRS, and flight dynamics, moving doors, opening and closing windows, air stairs, adjustable cockpit seats, drivable push car, etc.
They show the flight crew area with controls for the entrance doors, but the BBJ is the only plane they have that shows the cabin.
Ariane is also working on a new project for FSX that will be a Boeing 737-900er, but is suppose to really be a very outstanding and accurate model.  It should be released around Spring.
I like their BBJ very much.  I also like the fact that they provide a lot of manuals.  Their product support has been one of the best that I have personally experienced and I also have most of the pay-ware airliners that are listed above.

I notice that some of the add-ons do the same thing, would there be a problem if I installed those?

While we are talking about must have add-ons.  I didn't notice Magestic Software's DASH 8 Pilot Edition series.  If you like turboprops, this is definitely one you will want to have.  It is sooo very accurate and is a first rate add-on.  I mean everything works like the real McCoy.  I love mine  .  It also works with FSX now (using released patch)

SSTSIM Concorde: This aircraft not for the novice, with over 200 switches, push buttons, and dials, all linked to the various systems. However, even though flying this aircraft will be extremely challenging, it will also be incredibly rewarding. http://www.sstsim.com

I'm going to add to this list Captain Sim's new 757 Pro series or Block F addon for the 757-200 base pack.
He has done an outstanding job on completing this package and it looks and works fantastic.  It has a great interactive system in the virtual cockpit for using knobs and switches and setting radios.  The FMC/CDU is probably one of the most complete and accurate versions that I have seen.  It has working IRS systems, pack systems, ac systems and more functions in the cockpit than any other airliner that I have used.  It is very impressive and I am enjoying it a lot.

going to add a few .
first for fans of WWII era airplanes , flight replicas ( http://www.skyunlimi...veloper_id2.htm ) has become one of my personal favorite with a gorgeous lineup of ME-109f-g-k and the most wonderful ME-262 i have ever seen . skyunlimited ( http://www.skyunlimi...et/products.htm )  also has a gorgeous gotha GO-229 and they also have a beautiful T-6 texan which i have tried on a friend's computer and now must buy LOL .
lionheart creations ( http://www.lionheart...imulations.html ) also offer a lot of value for the money as the packages offered contain several aircrafts and also, often come with sceneries .for the GA trainer , aerosoft's DA-20 katana is also a really nice addition ( http://www.aerosoft....0340550,DF01935 )

as far as sceneries go , aerosoft also has two beautifull little packages to get away from the neverending list of commercial airports for the heavies that are particularly note worthy as well as challenging/interesting destinations . it is the lukla scenery ( http://www.aerosoft....0340550,DF10064 )
and helgoland ( http://www.aerosoft....60340550,D10417 )

This is my personal list of must-have items only for Flight Simulator X. It is by no means the only add-ons I have, you could double this list with what I actually have.  You'll notice I didn't list any airport sceneries. I have many add-on airports for FSX and love most of them. But I wouldn't call any must haves since airport sceneries tend to be personal choice based on where a person lives or where they like to fly.
