Ok, I am having a problem starting up FS9. Whenever I do, it crashes and gives me the error report message. Within this error report, it says that "FE.dll" is the problem. First, I removed it from the modules directory and then I got a message telling me to reinstall FS9 because the module is missing. Anyway, I went to FS disc 2 and I extracted FE.dll and put it in my modules directory. Still have the same problem, can anyone help?

If you still have the orignal FE.dll in your bin I'd like to install it here and see if FS9 errors out. Somehow I think it's whatever DLL loads after FE.dll that is the problem. I'll PM you with my email in case you want to try, but meanwhile look at your modules folder and reorder it by date to see the last few modules installed.<--no guarantees that will tell you the truth, but it's something to try.

My last installed module was gps_export.DLL and this problem started only today. I was able to use FS9 with this newest module installed. I sent FE.dll to you and I appreciate your help. :D

I moved my FE.dll and used yours, which was an exact match byte-wise, so as you may expect it worked fine. How many total files do you have in your modules folder now?

Okay so you probably have around a dozen add-ons I would guess. How about looking at the original modules folder using WinRAR and see which ones are not default?

Another thing, have you tried backing up your fs9.cfg by renaming or moving, then letting FS build a new one? You can always put the other one back when you've figured this problem out?

I extracted all the default modules from FS disc 2 and I took out every add on module. I booted up FS and I still get the same message! :D

How about the fs9.cfg file, did you try backing it up and letting it rebuild?

Yes, when it starts to rebuild FS crashes with the same message.

I got it fixed :D It was that LFPG afcad from avsim that was causing the crashes. I don't have to reinstall, I'm so ###### happy.

Great job of hacking it out on your own Evan. That's one to remember! *taking mental note*

Glad you're up and running my friend. Posted Image
