Guess I learned something new today :D  UPAce, I wasn't trying to accuse you just was giving an example of a case where it WOULD be copyright violation.

Technically though it still isn't copyright violation- it's just a rule of airliners.net's photos.  In general you do not need to have permission so long as you cite the source.  Think about when you are writing a report and use some information or photos for it?
