I just read this at boomtown, supposedly it's the official MS Q&A:

"For the more game play minded, we are adding a new mission-based element to give fans a more objective driven experience with a sense of progression and skill development."

I meant this thread. This is the same info that is on avsim and flightsim.

Pehaps you might be assuming that everyone reads the same fourms?

i think that when many of you are comparing FS9 to FSX it isnt really fare because you cant add the add-ons when you are comparing.  it should just be the raw fs9 to the raw fsX.

Each time a thread is posted should we check with you to see if you've already read it elsewhere?  :D

Thanks for the info and link. :D  This is an interesting new implementation into FS.

I wonder if this will provide some sort of a psychological incentive to encourage more newbies to continue with FS.  I've known a few friends that I recommended this game to. After starting out, some stopped playing because they found it too hard to progress.  There just wasn't any incentive to keep going to improve their skills.  Maybe this new addition to the FS series will furnish the right tools to keep the new players motivated.  :D

if we're talkin raw FS9 to raw FSX it looks like FSX beats FS9. I hope that FS2004 add-ons will be able to be used in FSX and that they won't look dfferent in FSX than in FS2004 if we can add them.

Great Find :D :D
