Making them active? Just place two runways over eachother. I don't see why it would be so hard.

FS won't make them both active because it can't decide when to let AI go or not to provide spacing. Besides, you'd never see intersecting runways active together IRL.

I am reading the tutorial posted...  I have a quick question if anyone knows...  He states to make the outermarker 95nm from the end of the runway.  Then goes on to say right after that, make it 50nm out.  His coordinates are for the 50nm.  Then at the very end, he states, just make sure you make it 95nm out.

Which is it???  Is the 50 a mistake???  Any help in this greatly appreciated.

Sorry but it makes me SOOO  :D

Using the star setup ISD make ALL runways active for takeoff and landing at LIRF; the two parallel and the crossing. Just as in real life.

Check yer facts before making such statements please!

95nm is the recommended distance, but in no case should it be CLOSER than 50nm to the real airport runways.

Thanks all!!!   That tutorial worked like a dream!  I am now doing airports all over the place.  Wish AFCAD had hot keys for some menu items, but hey, you can't have it too easy.  LOL

Once you do a couple of them, it really becomes easy and fast.  I found several other articles where people gave the distances they used...and I did gather that you had to be over 50 or the planes would possibly try to land there.

Thanks again,
