This is a good topic, but it's going to have many different variables like: monitor type, video card type, the amount of RAM you have, Processor speed, stuff like that. I guess that someone could put up a general chart to get people in the right area and then they could adjust the settings up or down till they worked the best for them. good topic though, groudon39

if i understood correctly, then this idea is bull. i mean always the best is maximum setting.  when it comes to specific settings, it all depends on computer an individual has. Even the size of a hard drive matters for performace. so this would be like giving out optimum settings to 0.01% of people.

Just my opinion :D

I'm sure he meant general things that could improve FPS, there are, many things that will 'generally' improve FPS.

a nice way to approach this topic would be to make a tutorial covering the diferent aspects of the video options in the game, and maybe in the card driver.

If a person knows exactly what AA is and what's the diference between temporal AA and regular AA. or what is Antistropic filtering and so on, maybe it would help choosing which settings a individual would want.

It's just a thought, though...
