A friend of mine has already the FSX beta.
He says the FPS of FSX is higher then fs2004  :D !

But are there here also people who got the Beta already, and can they make some video's of it or screenshots?

Not neccessarily.. the majority of the beta testers are general games users rather than flight sim enthusiasts.. and I'm sure plenty of them tell their friends about it, perhaps even let them play.  They're not supposed to but they're only human.  Don't expect to see any screenshots or videos, that would be pushing it.

No I'm not lying. But like CLubCX says Microsoft don't wan't screenshots of it online. So I think Arkitekt can create an nice FSX movie but can't upload it legaly. [*******]

Dual layer DVDs are compatible with every player as far as I know. Why is it a problem?

I accually just checked a DVD movie right now that has ~8.5 gigs, and it worked in my drive, so that means it's dual layer reader?

Don't mix up Dual-LAYER with Dual-Sided DVD's. Both hold 8.5GB's, but Dual layer DVD's have 2 layers stacked on top of each other and can be read by every player, whereas Dual-sided DVD's require special players.

Can't you just flip them? So you don't need a special driver?

No, every DVD-player can handle Dual Layer discs. It has been said three times before in this thread. :D

For flipping they were talking about double sided discs.  They are completely different than dual layer.  I'm sure MSFSX will shipp on a dual layer dvd.

I am beta testing it, if you don't believe me then don't but why would I lie? anyway your friend must be lying because it needs activating before you install it!

Also performance at the moment is not any better than fs2004, if not worse.

It is a MASSIVE leap! the effects using DX9 are about the best i have seen in any pc game, the terrain is 100 percent better than previous versions, Microsoft have heard what we wanted, they have added what we have wanted, water spray on takeoff and rain on the ground is just one of the few things new included, I would love to show shots but it would be against my NDA.
