I think a lot of people use GMAX. Its on your FS1 disk. Put it in the drive, co to my computer, click on the disk icon, go to extras, then go to GMAX,  and click GMAX12. Hope this helps,

Goose

Hi, instead of writing an entirely new thread and wasting space i decided to post this here. I'm new into developing aircraft for FS2004, i've done a little research and foudnt that there are thousands of different developer tools available (with some pretty heavy price tags!)

To begin with i am going to use Gmax that is provided with FS2004 disk 1. But i was wondering if anyone could help me out with whether there are any tutorials out there that specifically help people with the basics of this? Beacuse i know that there are different sections to cover:

1. The basic model
2. Panels
3. VC's
4. Animations

and so on...

Can all this really be done on Gmax? And is there any programming required? Or am i just making it a bit too complicated?

So just wondering if anyone could give me a hand?

Thanks.  :D

down I don't know any other toutorials but try this site, link, and just try those. Also,
just play with gmax and maybe you will just finally find out what they are talking about in the toutorials. Hope this helps,

Goose

EDIT: Those might only be for fs's before fs2004, but the modeling probly should be the same.

The Griffen one while not for fs2004 gets you into the ball park with the help of the SDK's.

Gotta say here that in order to learn to do this you really have to earn it and do the hard yards.

Oh. Really. How do you mean? They say insulting stuff or they don't really tell you enough information?

Oh. .

Well are you in the disk folder or the application that comes up. Make sure once the disk is in,  that you go to my computer and click on the disk icon. That should bring up a folder. You will also see an application come up. Exit out of that. Now go to the folder extras, then Gmax, then start gmax12. That will run the installer. Hope this helps.
