Atc Voices Screwed Up! Help

just installed fs2004.. everything flies good...but the sound is crazy!! the ATC voices are either talking reallly really fast or really really slow!  and my mouse pointer dissapears in flight! anyone have the same prob?? I have rebooted...and reinstalled
