Description: The A-10 Warthog is an aircraft that captured the imagination of many people for its strange ability to awe people. Of course the 30 mm cannon that is the heart of the aircraft has a lot to do with it, there is just no other aircraft that carries something that even comes close. But the aircraft also has a strange and outdated look, one that can only be described as downright ugly but functional. And the aircraft is seen a lot because it operates always in board daylight, close to the ground. Where as the modern stealth aircraft cruise silent and invisible in the dark of night, the Hog comes screaming over the nearest hill spewing out huge shells and dropping flares. Let's face it, that's cool and that is why it is the MOST popular choice of pilots entering the USAF.

Made internally by a crack team of designers (remember FsFalcon, well the graphics are done by the same people), this A-10a Thunderbolt II is very special in one aspect, the visual shape is created with 68.000 polygons and that is just the limit of what FS can handle, files with more polygons will just not compile. The complexity of the external shape is just unprecedented. The VC is created with 41.000 polygons and also extremely detailed. Graphical detail like that puts recent specialized (!) simulators like LockOn for this aircraft to shame! As doing a military aircraft inside FS2004 brings limitations (for example, all kinds of radios are very different) we decided not to try to simulate it inside a simulator, but focus on items like the animations. The pilot (we call him Tim)is lovingly animated, you can even lower his visor when the sun comes up.

Where as some other add-ons seem to be totally focussed on getting down to the last detail we focus on the usability. The A-10 is not build to haul a bunch of bored passengers from A to B. The Hog is build making huge holes in the clouds and to scare small animals to death when you come roaring out of the hills towards that target. Lighten up and have some fun in Flight Simulator. Besides, the Hog is build to fly dangerous!

Pros: Awsome model, panel sound, paints, VC
Cons: A bit hard to land

This can hurt your frames if you don't have a medium good system, and for some reason I find it very hard to land!:(

Pros: Model, Variations, Detail
Cons: None

A very detailed, fast bird. Excellent paints and a very nice bird to just buzz around. Flares add to the realism along with the Aersoft A-10 scenery.

Pros: All around great plane
Cons: Cant blow anything up, except maybe your computer

Without a doubt one of the highest quality paywares Ive bought. Exceptional detailing outside and inside. One of the best flight models Ive yet to fly. I can land on the mains, hold off the nose wheel until the airspeed is down to nothing then set it down gently. Great VFR bird with minimal autopilot capabilties so its a hands on type. Negatives- The vr cockpit is dark with only slight cockpit lighting,no gauge lights. Hud in the vr is hard to read. I see and hear real A-10s almost everyday and sorry to say the engine sounds are not right. Not surprised cause nobody has got them right although Lock On came close. But overall the sounds are some of the best
