Hey everyone. I got bored one day and decided to adapt my previous modeling knowledge into the flight simulator world, and create an airport scenery. I decided on the Manchester intl. airport. A few days of work, and here's a small preview! I'll post more pics as I progress This is my first scenery work, so be gentle with the comments The ground textures will be very high-res once I'm done, the current ones are temporary There are also a lot of untextured buildings which i will get around to soon. A lot to do, but comments welcomed!

Looks beautiful! If you can though, try and make it FSX compatible, just the FSW island isn't

don't forget to add concorde!!! And also the aviation shop! Thats one of the best bits when i go lol with viewing park also!!!

+1. PLEASE, I beg you to make it FSX compatible   ! There is like no good scenery for FSX!

You should also try Heathrow freeware scenery, there is like no good scenery for it in FS9 and in FSX. If you do try and make it FSX compatible though please!

Here's just a quick preview of Terminal 3 under construction. I might make an effort of texturing all this tomorrow. Stay tuned!

(I will wait for FSX SP1 before making any definitive comment about FSX compatibility. More than likely the FS9 version will be first though.)

Yeh I would like to see this in FS rather than renderd in 3DSMax just to see how it pans out you may have to watch your polys on some of it.

Nice to see a comment from a modeler
I will be previewing it in FS, but it isn't ready for a transport yet. I think I'm doing well with the polys (around 2500 triangles in the whole thing at the moment).

The reason I'm posting 3Ds Max renders is because this is my first ever scenery, and I would appreciate any constructive criticism while I'm still building it.

Any ground textures you see are temporary and low resolution. I took this image off Google Earth simply for modeling purposes, and maybe it's best to hide it in the previews if people are going to think it's the final thing??

I live right near there and i have been many times to the viewing park to see concorde as well... well... i have been waiting ages for this kinda scenery and i have to say... its awsome!!!

Just a little request that u do put in the viewing park as thats what makes Mchrtr airport that really for a lot of ppl...
