Around the World 07/08 - leg 046 - Tripoli (Libya) - Tunis (Tunisia)
08-apr-2008

We pushed back from gate 12 at 11.31Z and are cleared to taxi to RWY 27.
Soon after take-off we can climb to our cruising altitude of 39000 feet.
Flying over the Medeterranian Sea we see a lot of great looking clouds, which fortunately did not give us a lot of problems in the forms of turbulance or precipitation.
arrving in Tunisian airspace we are vectored to our ILS approach and after leaving the runway we taxi to our gate where we shut down the engines and head into town.

I do wonder why noone ever visits Scotland on these things.  When I get FSPax, I will start in Glasgow.

you are absolute right, unfortunately I've already visited that region and can't implement it in my schedule anymore.

let's continue with our tour. here is the next leg....

Around the World 07/08 - leg 047 - Tunis (Tunisia) - Algiers (Algeria)
24-apr-2008

The managers aboard our plane had a lot of meetings and wanted to relax after that, thus our stay in Tunis was longer than normal (read: work was extremely busy and I had no time to fly the next legs)
Today however it is time to move on and head for Algeria.
After take-off from RWY 29 we climb to 8000 feet and turn on course.
Flying to Algeria we keep hugging the Medeterranian Sea and the weather is perfect.
After arrving in Algiers we are guided to gate A3 to unload all passengers and enjoy the rest of the day.

Around the World 07/08 - leg 048 - Algiers (Algeria) - Casablanca (Morocco)
05-may-2008

Let us continu our trip and leave Algiers and head to sunny Casablanca in Morocco to get some Moroccan tea.
We're cleared for startup and push back and fly runway heading, climbing to 10.000 feet.
This leg is about 575 nm long and shouldn't take us much more than an hour and a half to complete flying at a cruising altitude of FL390.
Coming in to Moroccan airspace we are vectored to an ILS approach into RWY35.
Today the captain decides to let the FO land the aircraft which he did relatively good however a bit hard.
After everyone had vacated the aircraft and the crew was finished with all the paperwork it was noon and getting pretty hot. Time to hit the pool.

thanks, although it takes far more time to do all the reports than I had thought it would be.

but indeed you're right, during the entire trip I've picked up so much tips&tricks (mainly from the forums here and MetroAir Virtual) which greatly increase the fun and quality of the trip and the shots.
